Bladnoch 1991 Connoisseurs Choice

A 1991 vintage from the Gordon and MacPhail range, Connoisseurs Choice bottled in 2007. This bottling of Bladnoch was matured ex-bourbon refill casks and exhibits dry wood, spice and cereals with a balancing floral note.

The nose is aromatic and herbaceous. Cereal notes develop with malty sweet barley and something hay-like. There is a spiciness and notes of dry wood. The palate is sweet and of medium body, more spice with a floral edge and soft oak, quite light, all in all.

The finish is soft and smooth and little fanfares of oak and gentle apple blossom weave in and out.
